WHAT & WHO IS PAC?
The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) works together with parents and the school for the benefit of our children and to contribute to the sense of community within our neighbourhood. With a child at our school, you are automatically part of PAC. We would love it if you became an active member! Volunteer time, skills, support during fundraisers ... anything is helpful! THE PURPOSE OF A PAC
- To discuss parents' views and provide input/feedback about our school programs, activities and goals
- To work collaboratively with School Staff to enhance our children's education
- To raise funds to support school goals and enhance learning opportunities and overall enjoyment for our children.

PAC PROGRAMS
CLE Parent Class Representative
Each class at CLE asks one parent to volunteer as the class rep. This parent will act as a liaison between other parents and the PAC executive to help in efficient communication as well as taking care of optional group gifting for the classroom teacher & CEA.
Hot Lunch Fundraising Program
There is a weekly, volunteer run, hot lunch fundraiser at CLE. This program typically runs once per week, October through May. It takes many dedicated volunteers to run the CLE hot lunch program and new faces are always needed and welcomed.
The hot lunch program has a primary coordinator who is backed up by many supporting volunteers taking care of the hot lunch website, labels, kitchen coordination, classroom delivery and a number of ad-hoc roles as required annually. For those with the time, volunteering with the hot lunch program is a wonderful way to support CLE. Students enjoy hot lunch day and children love to see family in the school to help out with this beloved program.
Ordering for the hot lunch program is entirely optional and the team does it's best to provide a variety of food options from a number of vendors over the course of each month. If your child has food allergies or sensitivities, we encourage you to reach out to our hot lunch program or PAC executive. Order deadlines are shared via PAC social media and via email from the school. If you require financial support for your child to take part in the Hot Lunch program, please contact the CLE Principal.
Check out the PAC/Hot Lunch website at www.clesharks.ca. Signup is encouraged each September, even if you don't plan for your child to take part in the hot lunch program. The website is a great resource for information.

If you have questions, concerns, need some support or just want to know how to get involved, contact us any time! It really is as easy as that.
Volunteering as much time as you are comfortable with is a wonderful way to be involved in your child's education.
